Christchurch NZICE Mag BBQ

The inaugural Christchurch NZICEMAG BBQ was a great success. It kicked of right on time (1pm) at DeSades premises on an overcast Labor Day. Our gracious hosts provided plenty of drinks and some fantastic BBQing skills.

A few of the distributors bought items for everyone to perve at. This produced an air of excitement and plenty of lustful drooling. Of notable mention were the Digital Designs 9915 and 3510 subs, E Audio EXT-3000D prototype class D monoblock amp, Diamond Audio D7152 dual mono block amp, Arvus 4inch midrange speaker, an old school McIntosh MC430 amp and a range of Tsunami connectors.

The Mcintosh MC430 won the title of biggest amp on show, followed closely by the Eaudio EXT-3000D.

Daniel (Blackrazor and rep for Stoke Radio and TV, Nelson), put on an impressive performance of the power of the “Lock-Nut” connection system used in the new range of Tsunami gear.

More drinking and eating lead to Clarkie being talked into mounting the DD9915 in the Laser Wagon. After a few minutes sourcing enough screws and a screwdriver it was in and ready to go. Erkel cranked out the termlab and out came the measurements. 146.9db was the top score of the day. This was followed by a few of us hopping in the Laser for a quick pressure test.

Thanks to all the NZICEMAG members that showed up;
