Over the last few years the Nix Crew annual charity drags have grown in popularity, and this year the turnout was not to disappoint. After being committed to an early start, originally arriving at Meremere there was no soundoff organisers to be seen. However, eventually some serious competitors and the officials started to turn up (maybe a little worse for wear after a hard night). (more…)

Spending an hour of my time looking at some of the nicest cars in the country is always something to look forward to. Unless you’ve been in hiding, you will know that the car show calendar has gone from two events to six in only a few years. The Autosalon series of car shows has crossed the ditch and together with the 4 and Rotary Nationals provide a show presence previously unequalled on our shores. (more…)

An official dB Drag event held at the Waikato Polytech in Hamilton. Although the turnout was a little small, everyone still had a blast!

On Sunday October 5th as part of the Kumano Street Challenge, Pauls Car Audio held a Loudoff for all the SI boys and girls. The event giving them all an opportunity to give their sound systems a real test using the Nationals Mics. With the weather looking a little dodgy a few days before hand it was great to arrive to sunshine but with a little bit of a cold Southerly Wind. A good turnout filled Robbies Bar and Bistro with many different show class cars, Toyota levins, Honda Preludes, Honda Civics, Subaru, Mazda, and the good old Mitsi Evo/Lancers. All the rides where up to a high standard with many hours and big money going into some, resulting in some crazy body kits and slick paint jobs. (more…)
